Our Academy program is designed to provide enhanced training to players in the 8u and 10u age groups interested in playing at a higher level of competition in the future. The program serves as a bridge between recreational and classic soccer, with an emphasis on individual player development through improved technical skills and tactical development, building a foundation for future success. The goal is to enrich each player’s already developing love for and high interest in the game.
Players who choose Academy soccer should have a high interest in and commitment to learning the game, improving and playing at a higher level of competition in the future. Parents of interested players should evaluate their players physical and mental maturity, level of interest and readiness for commitment prior to registering for the program.
Academy players will continue to develop by playing and learning all field positions, while increasing their problem-solving skills on the field. TASK follows the guidelines from the US Youth Soccer Association to enhance the physical, social and psychological development of each player. At this level, players are coached by licensed coaches and/or parent volunteers. Teams will participate in play dates with other state-based clubs on Saturday’s in the Fall & Spring.
Academy players can choose to play either one season or both seasons. TASK will field a team of 8u girls, 8u coed(boys), 10u girls & 10u coed(boys).

Volunteering
TASK is a volunteer-run organization. To help keep our costs low and offer these great programs for youth soccer players in our community, we require all parents of players participating in all our programs to volunteer two hours per player during the course of the season.
Upon registering, you will be charged a buyout fee per player, which will be reimbursed when your volunteer obligation has been fulfilled. You can find all of our volunteer opportunities on the home page of our website at the bottom under Volunteering. There are also many board positions open that would fulfill your volunteering obligation. Please contact Sarah if you are interested in learning about what is available at TASK.Soccer.President@gmail.com
