Required Volunteer Hours or the volunteer buy-out
TASK is a wonderful program where all work is done by volunteers. The work has continued to increase, but the volunteer base has continued to decrease. To avoid burnout by these dedicated volunteers and to continue to keep costs low, the board is instituting a mandatory volunteer service hours to the club. All families will be required to provide volunteer service for 2 hours per player. This is for all players: both classic and recreational. The service can be provided by any adult family member – parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, etc.
While we understand that some circumstances may dictate certain families cannot volunteer, we are offering the option to buy-out your volunteer hours. These funds will enable the program to pay someone to perform the work. For 2022, the buy-out fee will increase to $50 per player with a max of $100 per family
This program requirement is similar to almost all other clubs in the area, but the hours and buy-out requirements are much smaller.
What counts as volunteering? See the next section.
Available volunteer opportunities
During the October Board meeting, the number of hours provided to the program was estimated by everyone. Our very conservative estimate of time to put on the programming annually is 1500 hours.

To provide extra incentive, anyone who volunteers to coach and completes the Y1 coaching class and/or the F coaching class and completes their background check and completes the safesport online training and finishes coaching the entire season will qualify to have their child’s FULL registration fee refunded to them! The background check and Y1 coaching class is paid for by TASK.
The coaching classes need to be completed once, and a background check needs to be completed every other year. You will also need to do a safesport training every year which is done online.
